March 19th, 2008 3:33 PM by Brian

On Wednesday, March 19th, 2008, minor updates were made to the Hushmail web-based email and the Hush Encryption Engine Java applet.

These updates were made due to problems experienced by users of the Opera web browser.

Users may experience a brief delay when logging into Hushmail with Java enabled while the updated Java applet is downloaded.  There should be no further impact to the user experience.

On Monday, March 10th, at 17:00 UTC (9:00 AM Pacific Time), an update was made to the Hushmail web-based email application. In addition to some routine bug fixes and upgrades, this update incorporates support for a number of new features related to Hushmail Express, which enables Hushmail customers to send encrypted emails to email addresses outside of the Hushmail system.

There was no interruption in service as a result of this update, and the user experience will not be affected.

Our system administrators are working to resolve the issue, and we will post updates to this website as they become available.
